Helen Keller once said that, “Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing.” It is the sentiment contained within this quotation that first inspired me to become a mountaineer; photography just seemed to be its natural collaborator!
Before we go any further I should introduce myself; my name is Tony Hodson, and I live in Northumberland with my wife Maureen and children Jessica, Olivia and Joshua, not forgetting our black Labrador, Sparky.
Since 1985 I have been the owner of Hodson Associates, a specialist people development consultancy, with the goal to motivate, educate and inspire individuals and organisations to reach their full potential; read more about that here.
With recent expeditions to Nepal, Argentina, Ecuador, Pakistan, Russia and Greenland, the high altitude mountain environment offers so much to the amateur photographer. With the advent of digital photography, it’s never been easier to capture some truly inspiring and breathtaking photographs!
Like many people, I believe that photographs are much more than ink and paper; they are living memories which usually tell a story and often evoke powerful feelings.
